The Jacobsen method is a method for determination of germination of seed, which is ISTA approved (Top on Paper). 4×100 Seed are germinated on a seed substrate paper. After a defined number of days, they are counted. The average result of the normal seed of all 4 repetitions is called the germination as percentage. The RUMED Jacobsen germinators are equipped with germination plates, which are temperature-conditioned by means of the water tub below. The paper substrates are moistened and temperature-conditioned by the water in the tub, which is sucked in the wicks. The program-controlled water temperature in the tub allows day/night alternation and any temperature profile. Lighting is optionally available. The delivery scope includes germination domes, germination spirals, wicks and filter paper.
